KARM - Knox Area Rescue Ministries

About the Ministry

For more than 60 years, Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) has been a place of hope for men, women, and families experiencing homelessness in East Tennessee. What began in 1960 as a response to a growing need has become a ministry committed to helping people find lasting restoration through the love of Christ.

KARM believes that true change happens when people are not only rescued from difficult circumstances but are also surrounded by meaningful relationships that encourage healing and growth. Through compassionate care, practical support, and Christ-centered guidance, KARM helps individuals rebuild their lives, restore their dignity, and reconnect with their families, community, and faith. Their work is driven by biblical values, collaboration, and a commitment to treating every person with dignity and respect.
