About the Ministry

The Volunteer Ministry Center (VMC) is a nonprofit organization that offers specialized services to individuals in our community who are in crisis, at risk of losing their home or already homeless. VMC’s programs support its two-fold mission of providing services to PREVENT homelessness AND facilitating housing for those who are experiencing homelessness.
 
The VMC serves our Knoxville neighbors experiencing homelessness with compassion, accountability, and long‑term solutions. Since 1987, VMC has worked to prevent homelessness and provide permanent supportive housing through programs like Minvilla Manor and Caswell Manor. Their team meets people where they are, offering case management, housing support, and on‑site dental care — all with the goal of helping individuals move toward stability and a better life.

How You Can Partner with VMC

  • Donate financially to support permanent housing solutions for neighbors experiencing homelessness
  • Volunteer your time in programs that provide daily support, encouragement, and stability
  • Give essential items like hygiene products, household goods, and basic necessities
  • Support housing initiatives like Minvilla Manor and Caswell Manor through sponsorship or advocacy
  • Pray for the individuals and families VMC serves as they work toward long‑term stability
  • Connect your church or business to partner in community outreach and resource support

Your passion for prayer can be developed by knowing that through Christ, God has invited His children to talk to Him. Standing before His throne is a victory Christ accomplished through His death and resurrection! He tore the veil, now we can enter in boldly to the throne of God and bring our praises and requests.

He wants to not only make Himself known to you by personally walking with you on every step of your way, but He also divinely placed others in your life to help you face the difficult days with support and the wonderful days with gift of friendship.
