School Year Prayers

When it’s time for children to return to school, our local churches shine. Donated backpacks, school supplies, special church services and parties help kids know they have the support of the faith community as they are launched into the new school year.

Now that class is in session, let’s consider continuing that support with an extra measure of prayer.

 

Pray for protection from evil – Psalm 91:4

Pray for ability and desire to learn – Proverbs 18:15

Pray for kindness – Ephesians 4:32

Pray for integrity – Proverbs 10:9

Pray for wisdom – James 1:5

Pray they will trust God – Psalm 56:3

Pray against worry – Philippians 4:6-7

Pray for growth – Luke 2:52

Pray for true friendships – Proverbs 17:17

Give thanks for God’s presence in their lives – Joshua 1:9
