The Bridge

The Bridge

About the Ministry

The Bridge is a Christ‑centered recovery ministry based at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. Its mission is to walk alongside individuals and families impacted by addiction, offering a pathway to hope, healing, and long‑term transformation through the power of the Gospel.

Black Oak Heights Baptist Church created The Bridge to meet a growing need in the Knoxville area — a place where people can be honest about their struggles, find real help, and experience the life‑changing grace of God. The ministry emphasizes that no one has to walk the road to recovery alone.

What The Bridge Does

  • Provides a safe, judgment‑free environment for anyone struggling with addiction, whether it’s substance use, alcohol, or other life‑controlling issues.
  • Offers weekly gatherings that include worship, teaching, testimonies, and small‑group support.
  • Connects participants with mentors and community, helping them build healthy relationships and accountability.
  • Equips individuals with biblical tools for overcoming addiction and rebuilding their lives.
  • Supports families and loved ones who are walking through the recovery journey as well.
