KICKO
About the Ministry
KICKO is a Christ-centered ministry whose mission is to transform inner city neighborhoods one child at a time. Started 30 years ago from a vision given to Bill & Janice Clark, it has grown into a dynamic ministry reaching an average of 700 kids each week. Their schedule includes 12 weeks in the Spring, summer camp style and 12 weeks in the fall. They also host a huge Christmas event. Their sidewalk Sonday School program – a mobile ministry runs Tuesday – Friday in 16 inner city neighborhoods in our city with the goal of helping children and youth to be overcomers. During their 30 years, their ministry has evolved to identifying and equipping youth as emerging leaders in their ministry. Their emerging leaders program has 50 middle and high school youth engaged in discipleship. Their family initiatives include parenting classes and relationship retreats.
How can you partner with KICKO
Obviously add them to your church or business budget; or become an individual donor. Is your church or business looking for a community project? KICKO hands out some 700-800 snack bags each week they are in operation. These snack bags have a combination of chips, a fruit bar, a granola bar, an applesauce and a juicy box. Your men’s or women’s group or Sunday school class, small group or life group could adopt a season with KICKO and provide snack bags for the kids.
